About District

On 2/10/1997 Gujarat Government bifurcated Valsad district in two districts – Valsad and Navsari. The newly formed Navsari district is situated on Arabian coast line at southern border of Gujarat state. Balwada is the nearest village of district situated between 20.35o to 21.05o north latitude and 72.43o to 73.35o east longitude. The geographical area of district is 2196 sq. k.m. The population of district is 13,29,672 (2011). The main headquarter of district Navsari, is included in city taluka. A part from Navsari (city) taluka, there are six more talukas. Total villages of district are 392.
